Calgary Real Estate
The Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB) reports that February house sales jumped 23% over previous year due to more listings.
The board reports 2,135 units sold and $1.25 billion in dollar sales, up 41.3 percent.
Inventory dropped just over 14% from last year, but new listings rose 13.6% to 2,711.
CREB head economist Ann-Marie Lurie says robust demand and inadequate supply are driving city price hikes.
The monthly benchmark price for all property types was $585,000, up 10% from a year earlier.
February property listings averaged 24 days, down 27% from previous year.
