After the Nasdaq Composite reached a record high on Friday, surpassing its 2021 top, stock futures are mixed early Monday.
Top stock gainers
Bitcoin passed $65,000 in premarket trade on Monday, boosting cryptocurrency stocks. Bit Digital (NASDAQ:BTBT) rose 7%, Cleanspark (NASDAQ:CLSK) 10%, Cipher Mining (NASDAQ:CIFR) 6.4%, Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN) 8.7%, Riot Platforms (RIO) 5%, Marathon Digital (MARA) 7%, and MicroStrategy (MSTR) 7.7%.
After the firm rejected a previous bid, Arkhouse Management Co. and Brigade Capital Management upped their offer by 14%, sending Macy’s (NYSE:M) shares up 12%. The investors now propose $24 per share, up from $21 per share, a 33% premium to Macy’s Friday closing price of $18.01.
Super Micro Computer (NASDAQ:SMCI) shares rose 13% after Friday’s announcement announcing its inclusion in the S&P 500 index for the current quarterly rebalance, effective March 18. The firm will replace Whirlpool (NYSE:WHR).
Top stock losses
Li Auto (NASDAQ:LI) shares slumped over 7% as February delivery data revealed a 35% M/M fall to 20,251 units. Li Auto is enthusiastic about its future, especially with new model releases and deliveries. The business wants to deliver 50,000 autos in March.
