Sensex and Nifty50 rose On July 15, Dalal Street saw the Nifty reach a new all-tile high, with the Sensex up 145.52 points or 0.18 percent at 80,664.86, and the Nifty up 84.55 points or 0.35 percent at 24,586.70. Indian equity indices opened higher.
Sectors and stocks
ONGC, Shriram Finance, SBI Life Insurance, Bajaj Auto, and SBI gained on the Nifty, while LTIMindtree, Asian Paints, Grasim Industries, Tata Steel, and Axis Bank lost.
BSE midcap index rose 1%, smallcap index 0.2%, and over 300 stocks reached 52-week highs, including Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Grasim Industries, ONGC, SBI Life Insurance, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Britannia Industries, Castrol, and more.
Outlook 16 July
The Index closed at 24,586.70 with gains of 84.55 points, with PSU Bank leading the way. Mid and Smallcaps outperformed the Frontline Index.
A DOJI candlestick pattern suggests a reversal, but a strong uptrend could be a buying opportunity.
The index remained sideways, forming a doji pattern, with potential near-term panic if it falls below 24,520, and resistance at 24,650, indicating further upside.
