Top stock gainers

AeroVironment (NASDAQ:AVAV) shares rose 19% after better-than-expected FQ3 earnings. The military drone and unmanned vehicle manufacturer boosted its full fiscal year sales projection to $700M to $710M from $685M to $705M and adjusted profits to $2.69 to $2.83 per share from $2.46 to $2.70.

Top stock losses

After reporting worse FY2025 forecast, GitLab (NASDAQ:GTLB) shares fell 22% after exceeding expectations in Q4. The DevOps software business expects fiscal year adjusted EPS between $0.19 and $0.23 and revenue between $725M and $731M, below analysts’ projections of $0.37 per share and $732.2M in sales. GitLab forecasts an adjusted loss per share of $0.04 and $0.05 on sales of $165M to $166M in 1Q25, below market expectations of $0.06 per share on $163.1M.


Stitch Fix (NASDAQ:SFIX) shares fell 15% after the FQ2 earnings failure and poor outlook. The firm lost 6% Q/Q and 17% Y/Y active clients and 3% Y/Y net revenue per active customer. Due to Q1 inventory acquisitions, free cash flow was negative $26.1M despite a 250 basis point rise in gross margin to 43.4%. Adjusted EBITDA fell 29%. The business estimates FQ3 net revenue to be $300M to $310M, down 22% to 19% Y/y from $323.3M. The business also lowered its 2024 net sales expectation to $1.29B to $1.32B from $1.3B to $1.37B and $1.35B, implying a 19% to 17% Y/Y decline.


Albemarle (NYSE:ALB) shares tumbled over 8% after a $1.75B depositary share public offering. The business also aims to provide the underwriters an option to buy $262.5M more depositary shares. Albemarle aims to use the revenues for general company objectives, including growing capital expenditures and debt repayment.
