- JOLTS Job Openings for February were 9.931M, which was lower than expected (10.5M) and much lower than the previous month’s figure of 10.824M.
- February’s factory orders decreased (-0.7%) compared to expectations for a decline (-0.5%), but they did better than January’s (-2.1%) decline. Feb.’s factory orders excluding transportation decreased (-0.3%) compared to January’s (+0.8%) increase and orders excluding defence decreased (-0.5%) compared to January’s (-2.3%). The U.S. February durables orders remained unchanged at -1.0%; the U.S. February inventories/shipments ratio increased to 1.49 months from 1.48 months.

BULK DEALS
Manaksia: At an average price of Rs. 112.41 per share, Dream Achiever Consulting Services purchased 5 lakh equity shares in the firm through open market transactions. The average price at which Bajaj Finance sold its 3.6 lakh shares was Rs 112.40.
Udayshivakumar Infra: At an average price of Rs 30 per share, Neomile Corporate Advisory purchased 4.87 lakh shares in the firm.
STOCKS IN NEWS
HDFC BANK: In the March quarter, advances increased 17 percent year over year while deposits increased by 21 percent. As of March 31, 2023, the bank’s deposits were Rs 18.83 lakh crore, while its advances came to about Rs 16 lakh crore.
IndusInd Bank: During the three months ending in March FY23, the private sector lender recorded net advances of Rs 2.89 lakh crore, up 21% YoY and 6% QoQ, while deposits increased by 12% YoY and 3% QoQ to Rs 3.36 lakh crore.
Bajaj finance:- With a 40% year-over-year increase, Bajaj Finance announced its highest-ever consolidated quarterly profit after tax of Rs 2,973 crore.
South Indian Bank: The bank stated that total deposits increased by 2.82 percent year over year to Rs 91,652 crore, while gross advances increased by 16.65 percent to Rs 72,107 crore.
M&M Financial Services: The business forecasts a total distribution of Rs 5,600 crore in March 2023, representing a gain of 42% YoY. The disbursements for Q4 FY2023 increased by 50% year over year to Rs 13,750 crore.
Federal Bank: The private sector lender reported gross deposits of Rs. 2.13 lakh crore for the quarter ending in March FY23, an increase of 17.4% from Q4 FY22.
Cyient. With the announcement of significant leadership changes, including the hiring of Karthikeyan Natarajan as Executive Director and CEO and Krishna Bodanapu as Executive Vice-Chairman and MD, Cyient’s stock price increased by 5%.
Bharat Dynamics:- The firm reported provisional sales of Rs 2,458 crore for FY23, a reduction of 12.8 percent from Rs 2,817.2 crore in FY22.
NBCC (India): The company has a work order of Rs 448.02 crore.
L&T: On winning a “mega order” for the hydrocarbon industry, L&T shares increased by 2.5%.
