  • Macy’s (NYSE:M) stock fell 10%;  The shares of high-end department store operator Macy’s (NYSE:M) dropped 10% after it failed quarterly revenue projections and lowered its full-year guidance as consumers cut down on discretionary spending in response to stubbornly rising inflation.
  • Dollar General (NYSE:DG) stock fell 9.4%; The stock of discount retailer chain Dollar General (NYSE:DG) plummeted 9.4% after it lowered its expectation for same-store sales for the entire year due to consumers’ reduced spending due to inflation.
  • Salesforce (NYSE:CRM) stock fell 6.6% As businesses cut back on spending, Salesforce (NYSE:CRM) saw its shares drop 6.6% after the cloud software provider reported an 11% increase in quarterly sales. This was the company’s slowest rate of growth in 13 years.
