  • Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) stock rose 5.8%; Following General Motors’ (NYSE:GM) announcement that it would adopt Tesla’s North American charging plug standard, which would provide GM’s electric vehicle purchasers access to the Tesla Supercharger network, Tesla’s (NASDAQ:TSLA) stock increased 5.8%.
  • DocuSign (NASDAQ:DOCU) stock rose 5%;  The stock of electronic signature technology provider DocuSign (NASDAQ:DOCU) increased 5% after it released solid first-quarter results driven by a rise in billings.
  • Adobe (NASDAQ:ADBE) stock rose 3.8%; After Wells Fargo raised its recommendation of the software company from “equal weight” to “overweight,” anticipating that generative artificial intelligence will be a “tailwind” for the company, Adobe’s (NASDAQ:ADBE) stock increased by 3.8%.
  • ChargePoint (NYSE:CHPT) stock fell 5.6%;  Both EVgo (NASDAQ:EVGO) and ChargePoint (NYSE:CHPT) saw declines in their respective stock prices as a result of the Tesla/GM merger.Fisker (NYSE:FSR) stock rose 1.8%; The share price of premium EV producer Fisker (NYSE:FSR) increased 1.8% after it revealed in a production update plans to expand up, establish in China, and add that it is on pace to reach targets.

Losers

  • Target’s (NYSE:TGT) stock dropped 1.4%;  after Citigroup changed its rating from ‘buy’ to ‘neutral’ on the retail behemoth, claiming that sales have peaked after robust growth from 2020 to 2022 and are likely to decline further.
  • Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN) stock fell 1.3%; After U.S. regulators unveiled a lawsuit earlier this week alleging that the platform had broken U.S. law by failing to register as an exchange, the stock of cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase (NASDAQ:COIN) dropped 1.3% as a result. Moody’s had previously downgraded the cryptocurrency exchange’s outlook from “stable” to “negative.”
  • Nio (NYSE:NIO) ADRs fell 1.2%; After the Chinese EV manufacturer Nio (NYSE:NIO) announced a dramatic decline in gross margins in the first quarter to 5.1% year over year in Q1 vs 18.1% in the same period last year, Nio’s ADRs declined 1.2%.

  • Planet Labs PBC (NYSE:PL) shares fell 26%; Shares of Planet Labs PBC (NYSE:PL) plummeted 26% after the satellite imaging business cut its full-year sales forecast but maintained that they are still experiencing robust demand.
  • DocuSign Inc (NASDAQ:DOCU) shares were down 2.9%; A day after exceeding revenue and profit projections, DocuSign Inc (NASDAQ:DOCU) reported cautious client behaviour, smaller deal sizes, and lower volumes. Shares of the business were down 2.9%.

Upgrades by Experts

Gains for T-Mobile following upgrading

Yesterday, T-Mobile US (NASDAQ:TMUS) shares increased by about 3% after Wolfe Research raised its rating for the business from Peerperform to Outperform with a $160.00 price objective.

Upgraded from Brown-Forman to In Line

Evercore ISI boosted its price objective for Brown-Forman (NYSE:BFb) from $60.00 to $68.00 and upgraded the stock to “in line” from “underperform”.

Shares of Corning (NYSE:GLW) increased more than 2% in pre-market trading after Morgan Stanley boosted its price objective for the stock from $35.00 to $38.00 and upgraded the company to Overweight from Equal Weight.

Principal Financial (NASDAQ:PFG) was upgraded by Keefe, Bruyette & Woods from Underperform to Market Perform with a $75.00 price target.

Citi downgrades Target to Neutral

Target (NYSE:TGT) was downgraded by Citi from Buy to Neutral, and its price target was decreased from $177.00 to $130.00.

On a downgrade, QuantumScape stock declines

Yesterday, QuantumScape Corp. (NYSE:QS) shares fell more than 7% after Wolfe Research cut the company’s rating from Peerperform to Underperform with a $2.00 price objective.

UiPath Inc. (NYSE:PATH) was downgraded by Wells Fargo from Overweight to Equal Weight with a $20.00 price objective.

First Northwest Bancorp (NASDAQ:FNWB) was downgraded by Piper Sandler from Overweight to Neutral, and the firm lowered its price objective from $14.00 to $13.00.

Thomas Warsop, president and chief executive officer of ACI Worldwide, Inc. (ACIW), disclosed the acquisition of 43,000 common shares from 06/06/23 to 06/07/23 at prices ranging from $23.5874 to $54.1629 in a Form 4 filing with the SEC following the close.

The purchases cost around $1 million in all.

As GM signs a contract with Tesla, Blink, ChargePoint, and other companies fall.

General Motors (NYSE:GM)A partnership between General Motors (NYSE:GM) and Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) to include Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) charging connections into their vehicles was announced by Mary Barra, GM’s CEO, and Elon Musk on Thursday during a live “twitter spaces” meeting. The agreement comes after a comparable declaration made by Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) in late May.

 ChargePoint Holdings Inc ; The stock prices of certain companies that provide electric vehicle charging soared before the ink had even dried. Shares of ChargePoint Holdings Inc. (NYSE:CHPT) fell more than 3% in premarket trading before dropping more than 13% by afternoon. Premarket losses for EVgo Inc. (NASDAQ:EVGO) shares exceeded 4%, while Friday afternoon losses exceeded 13%.

Blink Charging Co; With more than 4,000 charging stations in the US, Blink Charging Co (NASDAQ:BLNK) begun Friday’s trade down 0.5% before dropping by roughly 10%.

EVGO and CHPT; In Friday afternoon trade, shares of EVGO are down 13%, CHPT are down 12.75%, and BLNK are down 9.92%.
